This is my bathtime page, but you won’t find any pictures of me in the tub because mom doesn’t believe in taking pictures of naked babies in bathtubs. She says it’s an invasion of their privacy! I told her it would be okay if she went and got the camera after I was in the tub, so this would have given me a chance to escape, but mom’s experienced in that sort of situation with escape artists. First mom had to pick out the right shampoo. She wanted something different. “Something as special as you!” she said. However, she also wanted something that would clean me up quickly, so we ventured out to one of my favorite stores on the Upper West Side - LUSH on Broadway at 77th St. (They are so nice in there. They give me treats and lots of pets). Mom always lets me smell the soaps, but this time, she let me pick out my shampoo. She was looking for a bar style shampoo that would lather quickly, and she found one made with coconuts (it’s called “Trichomania” and it’s Yummy!). This was the one I wanted. I liked it a lot! We got it, and mom bathed me a few days later with it, but only after she tested it on herself. We’re a lot alike, and if it doesn’t bother her, it won't bother me. Mom says this was the quickest dog bath ever! 8 minutes! It might be a world record. She had me lathered up thoroughly in five minutes because she knows I get antsy. She took three minutes to rinse me off and had to hold me in the tub the entire time. Finally, she shut off the water and grabbed a towel. She wrapped me in it, took me out of the tub, and gave me a little blow dry and style and then I was off trotting around the bedroom. (Mom had closed the bedroom door just in case I escaped while all lathered up!) She kept trying to dry those little places, you know, the nooks and crannies, but finally she gave up. She put a large soft towel on the bed. I jumped up, got comfy, and once she covered me with my blankie, I fell asleep for the night.
Bathtime

She put a large soft towel on the bed. I jumped up, got comfy, and once she covered me with my blankie, I fell asleep for the night. I felt so good! My skin was refreshed, and my fur felt different - not stiff or bulky. I smelled fantastic too - not too sweet or heavy with perfume. I smelled just right! We went back to LUSH to tell them about my bath with their delicious-smellalicious shampoo. Here I am with Evan and Joelle, two of my friends from LUSH... Everyone that sees me says how beautiful and fluffy I am. People want to pet me all the time (I love that!), and when they do, they sink their fingers into my LUSHious fur! Here’s a few more of my friends (and fur stylists/advisors) from LUSH! Krystal and Kate (giving me yummy treats!). Reed and Krystal enjoying my clean fur! Bruno, who helped pick out my fantastic LUSH shampoo! I just need one more photo of my friend Enzo! I conclude that even though bathtime is not my favorite thing, mom knows how to do it without stressing me out (too much) and the reward of lots of pets and compliments makes it all worth it… Love, Timber-San
