This was my first day out adventuring with
mom. We went to a park down the street
called Riverside. I trotted the entire way
there and mom had to trot along with me to
keep up.
I didn’t know what to expect, but I liked all
the smells I passed along the way. Then we
crossed the street and went around the
round-a-bout and into the park.
There was lots of grass and birds and
squirrels. I got a little excited seeing them,
but mom told me I not to chase them.
It was early, but there were a few other dogs
out playing in a dog run. We walked around
so I could check things out.
So far, this was fun. Then I saw a tunnel and
mom asked me if I wanted to go see what was
on the other side. I did, so we went!
Wow! This tunnel lead down a path and
straight to the Hudson River walk. There were
lots of trees and grass and we made our way
down toward the river so I could see it.
Two days in a row I’ve been to the waterfront.
But mom says we’ll come here as often as I
like. I like it here. The wind has good smells
too!
I smelled a few more trees, and then we made
our way back home to have breakfast. It was a
good walkies, but I was happy to be home and
try out one of my new beds. Mom said, we’d
go out again later, so I took a nap.
